YOUR INTERNAL 2026

What Will Your Internal 2026 Look Like?

As 2025 winds down, many of us feel the familiar cultural pressure to draft “new year, new me” resolutions. But this year, I’m choosing to step away from the clichés. Instead of writing a list of promises I might forget by February, I’m reflecting on the quiet truths that followed me all year—truths I can no longer afford to ignore. Transitioning into a new year isn’t about becoming someone different overnight; it’s about finally honoring what you already know about yourself. It’s about slowing down long enough to face the questions we avoid because the answers would require change.

Reflection, when done honestly, is not always comfortable. It asks us to examine where we hesitated, where we self-abandoned, where we dimmed the light God placed in us. And equally, it asks us to name our desires with courage—to admit what we want, what we need, and what we’re no longer willing to carry. Entering 2026 with intention means recognizing that peace doesn’t come from perfection; it comes from alignment. It comes from choosing actions that reflect our values, even when those choices are difficult. It comes from having hard conversations—with ourselves and with others—so healing and clarity have room to enter.

As I prepare for the year ahead, I’m learning that making room for the good things requires releasing the things that drain, distract, or diminish me. That includes habits, mindsets, fears, and sometimes, relationships. Wanting the blessings God has for you means accepting that not everyone is called to walk with you into the next chapter—and not everyone desires to. The pruning isn’t punishment; it’s preparation. When God is elevating you, He often clears the path first. Letting go isn’t loss when it creates space for purpose.

So as we cross the threshold into a new year, I’m asking a different kind of question: What will your internal 2026 look like? Not your goals, not your titles, not your metrics—but your heart, your peace, your discipline, your faith. What kind of environment are you creating within yourself? What story will your decisions tell? The new year isn’t waiting to change you—it’s waiting for you to choose yourself with intention, faith, and honesty. And that choice starts now.
