THE SILENT TREATMENT

This chapter of my life has been beyond interesting and challenging in ways I could have never imagined. I’m sure I’ll share this chapter with you later on.

There are moments in life when we feel charged up and full of direction—when God speaks clearly, doors open, and the path is well-lit. But what happens when the next steps aren’t revealed? When prayers seem to echo into silence and the only instruction you have is the last thing God told you? These seasons can feel unsettling, even discouraging. But often, it’s not about punishment or distance. It’s about trust.

Trusting God in the silence requires maturity. It means resting in the truth that His last instruction is still valid—even if time has passed or circumstances have shifted. It’s in these moments that our faith is refined and our obedience is tested. Will you keep building the business, writing the book, nurturing the relationship, or healing yourself—even when no new direction comes? Or will you waver in doubt, seeking permission to pivot when none has been given?

We often crave clarity when God is cultivating our character. In the stillness, He is shaping us—teaching patience, endurance, and discernment. Life’s “in-between” seasons are never wasted when you remain faithful to the last word He gave you. That word is your anchor. It may not feel like progress, but obedience in these moments is deeply spiritual and powerfully prophetic.

So if you’re navigating life and God hasn’t said anything new, don’t panic. Lean in. Stay committed to the last assignment. Keep showing up, keep stewarding, keep trusting. Your next chapter is unfolding, even if you can’t see it yet. God’s silence doesn’t mean He’s absent. It means He’s watching to see what you’ll do with what He’s already given.

It can be rough. It can be ugly.  I can be lonely. But, it will be worth it in the end.

Preserve.
Can
